Everyone enters into therapy from a difference stance. Some seek treatment to gain better insight into their lives or to help resolve a recent issue that has arisen and is causing distress. Others come to therapy to address their mental health issues that have been negatively impacting their lives -sometimes in their work environment, home life or their relationships. Other times, a person may seek treatment because their symptoms have become too overwhelming and they may need some guidance and support. Whatever the reason that brings a person to therapy, it is an important and empowering step in the change process.
Individual therapy
At our practice, we begin treatment with this first step. We work from the client’s framework so to create a supportive and encouraging environment for change. Treatment takes a collaborative approach, where the therapist works in conjunction with the clients on their presenting issues. In doing so, we are able to create and achieve the therapeutic goals set forth.
We specialize in such
therapeutic approaches as cognitive-behavioral
therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), existential therapy and
behavior modification.
Could not be more thankful for Dr. Goller’s services. I was dealing with some difficult life situations and she helped me to find balance again. She was goal oriented right from the start. Also, very courteous and professional throughout the sessions.
